Vintage Waddingtons shaped Jig-map jigsaw of India (number 564). The pieces are irregular shapes and the finished jigsaw is the shape of India and depicts things, places and activities for which different regions are famous. The jigsaw also features a place-name quiz:
"First take out all the place name strips and put them on one side. Then make up the jig map. Take any one of the place name strips, read the name and put it in the space where you think it should go. If the colours on the strip match the colours on the surround, you have placed the name correctly."
This jigsaw is in good condition, but there are two pieces missing - see picture - this isn't really a problem if you know which ones! All the place name strips are there. The box is in reasonable condition for its age.
Size when completed is 58 x 46 cm (23 x 18¼ inches).
Comes from a smoke and pet-free home.
